The “You May Be A Person of Interest” Facebook app allowed fans to submit a photo of themselves through their own Facebook page, with the possibility of their image being included in the show during an upcoming episode. Fans chose from a selection of effects to enhance their images, and ‘The Machine’ assessed the fan’s location and threat level. Fans could then post the “Machined” photo on their wall or share it with friends. POI producers reviewed submitted photos and selected images for use during upcoming episodes of the show, which continued throughout the entire third season. Photos could appear at any time … in any place … in any episode. The app was available in the US, Canada, UK, India, and Italy.
